This page summarises, in plain language, the cancellation, change and
refund rules set out in articles 8, 9 and 10 of the
Distance Sales Agreement. Where this page and the
agreement differ, the agreement prevails.
In short
- Cancellation terms depend on the rate you choose when booking and are shown on screen before payment.
- On a free-cancellation rate, cancel by the deadline and the amount is refunded.
- On a non-refundable rate, no refund is made on cancellation or change.
- Accommodation services carry no statutory right of withdrawal; this does not remove the cancellation rights of your rate.
1. Cancellation terms follow the rate
Every booking is subject to the cancellation terms of the rate selected.
These terms are shown clearly on the booking screen before payment and in
the booking confirmation. The main rate types:
- Free cancellation rate: Cancellations made by the stated deadline are refunded. Cancellations after the deadline are subject to the charge stated in the rate.
- Non-refundable rate: Once the booking is made, no refund is given on cancellation or change. This rate is usually offered at a discount and is chosen knowingly before payment.
- Partial-charge rate: An amount set by the rate is deducted according to when you cancel; the remainder is refunded.
2. Right of withdrawal
There is no statutory right of withdrawal for the accommodation services
covered by this agreement. Basis: Turkish Distance Contracts Regulation
art. 15/1-(g); for consumers resident in the European Union, Consumer
Rights Directive art. 16(l). The absence of a right of withdrawal does not
remove your right to cancel under the rate terms above.
3. How to cancel
- Through the booking engine, using the link in your confirmation e-mail, or
- By writing to ota@texgroup.com.tr with your booking number.
A cancellation takes effect once we confirm it; the date and time your
request reaches us is what counts against the rate deadline.
4. Refunds
Refunds are initiated after the cancellation is confirmed and any amount
collected is returned to the same payment method used.
How long the refund takes to appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
City taxes and similar charges collected at the property are not
collected by us and are outside the scope of refunds.
5. Changes
Changes to dates, room type or number of guests depend on the property’s
availability and approval; a price difference may apply. Non-refundable
rates may not allow changes.
6. No-show and early departure
If you do not arrive on the check-in date, the booking is charged in part
or in full according to its rate and the remaining nights may be cancelled.
If you leave early after the stay has begun, refunds for unused nights are
subject to the property’s policy.
