Choosing a hotel in Antalya is really choosing a district. Between the old town inside the city walls and the purpose-built resort zone 30 km east, the price, the atmosphere and the shape of your day all change. Below are six areas sorted by who they suit; filter the list above by your own dates.
In short
- Lara is the resort area closest to the airport — transfers run around half an hour.
- To stay in the city and walk everywhere, look at Kaleiçi or Konyaaltı.
- Large all-inclusive resorts cluster in Belek, Side and Lara.
- Some coastal resorts close from roughly November to March; the city centre stays open year-round.
Where to stay
Lara
East of the city, along a long sandy beach. This is where the large resorts concentrate, and being close to the airport keeps transfers short. The sand and gentle entry to the water make it practical with small children.
Suits: Families, short transfer, all-inclusive
Konyaaltı
West of the city, a pebble beach with the Beydağları mountains behind it. Unlike Lara it sits inside city life: tram, museums and cafés are within walking distance. The water is clear but the pebbles make water shoes useful.
Suits: City and beach together, sightseeing
Kaleiçi
The old town inside the walls. Small boutique hotels in restored Ottoman houses, plus the yacht harbour. There is no beach — you either go down to Konyaaltı or use a hotel’s beach shuttle.
Suits: Couples, short city break, architecture
Belek
About 30 km east of the centre, a planned resort zone laid out inside pine forest. The golf courses are here. It is entirely resort-driven; do not expect a town to wander into.
Suits: Golf, large resorts, campus-style holiday
Side
About 65 km east. The old town around the ancient theatre and the Temple of Apollo sits alongside the surrounding resort strips. Good if you want history and beach in the same trip.
Suits: History plus beach, mid-size resorts
Kemer
About 40 km west, where the mountains drop into the sea. Pebble beaches, clear water, and a good base for hiking and boat trips. The coastal strip is narrower than Lara or Belek.
Suits: Nature, clear water, boat trips

When to go
April–May and September–October are Antalya’s most balanced months: the sea is usable and the weather suits sightseeing. June–August is hot and humid, midday is hard away from the water, and resorts are at their fullest. Between November and March some coastal resorts close, but the city centre, Kaleiçi and Konyaaltı stay open — in winter Antalya turns into a city-break destination.
When you pick dates, confirm on the booking screen that the property is open out of season; closed properties simply return no results.
Before you book
Cancellation terms belong to the rate you pick, not to the hotel; the same room is often sold under several different conditions. Reading the cancellation line next to the total, and the “payable at the property” item, prevents most of the surprises that come later.

Frequently asked
Which area is closest to Antalya airport?
Lara. The airport sits east of the city and so does Lara, which usually keeps the transfer near half an hour. Belek and Side are further out, and Kemer is on the other side of the airport, so you cross city traffic to reach it.
Lara or Belek for a family?
Both are strong for family resorts. The difference: Lara has a sand beach and a short airport transfer, while Belek sits inside pine forest and is quieter. Pick Lara for the short transfer, Belek for space and calm.
Is there anything other than all-inclusive?
Yes. Kaleiçi and Konyaaltı have plenty of small bed-and-breakfast hotels, and eating out is part of daily life in both. All-inclusive concentrates in Lara, Belek and Side.
When is the sea warm enough to swim?
Broadly May to October is comfortable; April and November sit on the edge and vary year to year. Giving an exact date would be misleading — sea temperature shifts from one year to the next.
If I stay in Kaleiçi, how do I get to a beach?
Kaleiçi has no beach of its own. Konyaaltı is a tram ride or a short taxi away, and some boutique hotels offer a partner beach shuttle. Ask whether the hotel runs one before you book.

Passport and entry
Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs lists US ordinary-passport holders as visa-exempt for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and asks that the passport stay valid at least 60 days beyond the end of the stay. Rules change; confirm on the official pages before you book.

Airport and distances
All resorts on this site use Antalya Airport (AYT). The distances we show are straight-line between the hotel coordinates and the airport, not road time; the resort areas range from roughly 7 km (Lara and Kundu) to over 100 km (Alanya). Transfers are booked separately or through the hotel.
Prices and currency
Türkiye's currency is the Turkish lira. The prices on this page are cached in US dollars from the booking engine, for a fixed sample: 2 adults, 5 nights, a Saturday check-in about two weeks out, refreshed weekly. They are informational; the live rate, taxes and fees are shown in the booking engine before you pay.
Booking, payment and cancellation
You book on booking.texholiday.com, TexHoliday's booking engine (powered by Nuitee). It opens in English with USD; you can switch either. Payment methods and the exact charge are shown at checkout, and each rate shows whether it is refundable and until when before you pay.
What Ultra All Inclusive means
"All Inclusive" in Turkey normally covers meals and a range of drinks; "Ultra All Inclusive" generally extends hours, à la carte options and the drinks list. The exact scope is set by each hotel and by the rate you choose; we only label a hotel's concept when its official website states it.
Which currency are the prices in?
EUR on this page. The booking engine also opens in EUR and lets you switch currency. The site does no currency conversion of its own; prices are the engine's amounts.
Where can I fly to Antalya from?
The flight module searches any departure airport; Antalya (AYT) is the destination. We publish no schedules or fares; the search returns live results.
